Greetings! My love of sales and marketing is tantalizing! Sales are my joy and marketing is like breathing. You got to enjoy it to live it and to be successful you must live it. I have worked commissioned sales and managed several mainstream retail stores for about fifteen years. One day, while working for Victoria Secret, I called the district manager and told her that I am going home. I had opened and closed the store for 6 days straight and had done so, for about six months. Enough was enough. Turned my keys in and never looked back. After about a month of rejuvenating I clearly needed to find a job. There was no desire to go back to retail. However, if I had to do the walk of shame I would have.

My Uncle worked for a criminal defense law firm and the firm was looking for a marketing manager. He put in a good word for me. I was interviewed, and hired the same day. I had stepped off in a world I thought I knew nothing about. I brought with me sales techniques and strategies I learned as a Lancome counter manager, Estee Lauder beauty adviser, a straight commissioned furniture salesperson, and definitely from being a manager for Victoria Secret and an assistant manager for Chico’s. All which I took for granted. What I brought to the table was connecting and identifying with potential clients. What I brought was client-relations skills. The ability to turn prospective clients into retained clients, prospects from most demographics.

I eventually became an independent contractor providing direct marketing services for criminal defense attorneys. It gave me the opportunity to work virtually (Legal Marketing Virtual Assistant). I have had the joy of working independently for six years. We have redeveloped and expanded into other services. I have operated behind the scenes for some time now and beginning to dream out loud. Operating out front and loving it!

We were driven to create a venue to share information on our legal system in a positive environment surrounded by topics of everyday life. Lack of knowledge about our legal system is paramount and here is where the gap of that lack of knowledge becomes not so wide. I am blessed to have learned and able to share.
