- Who is your favorite Black artist and why.
- Alma Thomas, Aaron Douglas, and Norman Lewis are my favorite black artists.
Alma Thomas' paintings are simple and original and the convey movement progression rythm and routine. They are flat and textural at the same time. Its hard for me to say that she is my favorite but she is some one whose work I would look to as an example of what I need in my own paintings. Her paintings are spatial and imply an observation of nature.

- I make abstract pictures in acrylic paint, ink, and or the computer. my work is born out a philosophy that things must be detroyed to create an oppotunity for something new to be constructed. I use my compositions to explore color, shape, space in an way that I feel echos a confrontation between the natural world and the artificial world.
